Sumas Environmental Services Inc.
Water Treatment Equipment Rentals

Sumas is now the leading company in Western Canada for the design, supply, installation, and operation of wastewater treatment system for environmental and remediation projects. Sumas carries a large number of equipment modules in stock for rental and rapid deployment to remediation projects. Rental packages can be customized to suit a wide range of situations. They can range from weekly rentals for short-term project to monthly and yearly rentals for longer, ongoing projects. To ensure customer satisfaction, Sumas can furnish a field supervisor to advise the client regarding proper installation and operation of our supplied equipment

The difference between renting or buying from Sumas and obtaining equipment from a "hardware" type company is that Sumas specializes in site remediation equipment and our field supervisors and maintenance specialists are experts in environmental issues. They are also available 24/7, to assist in solving operational problems. This expertise will assist you in ensuring that your remediation project is a success.
All equipment on our equipment and system rentals page may be rented, subject to availability. For more rental equipment information, please e-mail us or contact our head office in Burnaby.

Automatic Self Cleaning Filter Unit

System Description

  • The filter system consists of a stainless-steel cylindrical filter screen sealed within a stainless-steel filter housing. Unfiltered process fluid enters the filter housing through the top port. The process fluid passes through the filter screen from above, passesthrough the filter screen, exiting the filter housing through the bottom port. The filter screen traps contaminants on the inside of the filter screen and this is periodically scraped off the surface of the filter screen by a cleaning disc activated by a pneumatic piston. These contaminants are deposited in a collection chamber in the bottom of the filter housing where they are periodically purged.
  • Design pressure of up to 300 PSI
  • Flow rate of up to 50 GPM

Multi Phase Extraction and Air Striping System

System Description:

  • Multi-Phase Extraction is a proven method of cleaning soil and groundwater at sites impacted by release of fuels and chemical products. This technology combines the benefits of soil vapor extraction and vacuum enhanced free product and groundwater extraction. In many situations, Multi-Phase Extraction is the fastest and most cost-effective way to remediate contaminated sites.
  • The stainless steel low profile tray air stripper removes dissolved phase volatile hydrocarbons or chlorinated solvents from the extrscted groundwater. The units include four to six stripping trays, blower, level switches, sump pressure gauge and level indicator.
  • Activated carbon vessels for polishing both groundwater and air
  • Capacity of up to 100 GPM
  • Anti-foam chemical metering pump.
