| Sumas Environmental Services Inc. (Sumas) is the only full service
environmental contractor in western Canada to independently offer
such a wide range of services, including site remediation, on and
off site water treatment, on and off site soil remediation and disposal,
and hazardous waste handling and disposal. |

Sumas maintains and operates a fully permitted water
treatment system at its Burnaby facility. The Burnaby water treatment
system can effectively treat and remove a variety of contaminants
from hydrocarbons to heavy metals in water and wastewater. Sumas
provides our clients with  competitive
pricing for the off site treatment and disposal of contaminated
water, which eliminates the often complicated process of obtaining
a site-specific discharge permit.
System components include gravity phase separation, filter press,
pH adjustment, heavy metal floculation and settling, and carbon
filtration, upon completion of treatment and confirmatory analysis,
the water is discharged to the GVRD Sanitary Sewer. The discharge
is monitored on a regular basis and fully permitted by the GVRD. |

through our on-site water treatment systems. Sumas owns and maintains
a variety of on site water treatment equipment that can be mobilized
to the site quickly and efficiently. Our systems are modular, so required
components can easily be loaded onto transport vehicles and moved
to your site quickly and efficiently. Therefore different components
can be tailored to meet the precise project treatment needs efficiently
and cost effectively. Any redundant equipment can easily be decommissioned
to remove the financial burden on the project. |

Sumas has extensive experience in the treatment of groundwater encountered
during excavation de-watering activities on contaminated sites. Due
to our wide range of capabilities, we offer our clients a variety
of competitive options for treating contaminated water, either on

Sumas Environmental Services Inc. (Sumas) has the experience to
diagnose dewatering challenges and the "know how" to recommend
and safely use the proper equipment and technique sneeded
to dewater any wastewater and discharge it "safely" into
the environment. Sumas is strongly field oriented, very sensitive
to the special needs of the consultants particularly with regard to
the timelines of the project. Our technical, sales, and field personnel
are dedicated to one principle philosophy - to serve our customer
by providing the most effective techniques to control groundwater

"Turn-Key Contract" puts Sumas in charge of the layout,
installation and operation of construction dewatering systems. Sumas
will undertake engineering studies including on-site pump tests and
furnish design recommendations. This total concept includes a guarantee
to provide the needed results.
"Rental or Sale" in which Sumas furnishes the necessary
equipment to the customers from Sumas' extensive inventory. Sumas
will furnish a field supervisor to advise the client regarding proper
installation and operation of the Sumas supplied equipment.
There is a huge difference between renting or buying from Sumas and
obtaining equipment from a "hardware" type company which
only warehouse equipment. Sumas field supervisors and maintenance
specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist
in solving operational problems. |
